We always have a great time celebrating Autism Awareness during the month of April and 2018 has been no exception. From “Light it up Blue” to donning the bright and bold colors of the puzzle piece symbol, we came out representing the Always Unique, Totally Interesting, Sometimes Mysterious characteristics of autism. We are proud to be part of a movement for inclusion and self-determination for all! The Arc of Delaware County is a significant part of assuring that each person with ASD is provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life!
For years we have strived to promote awareness and the result of that has been earlier recognition, greater understanding and programs that result in happier, healthier lives. We are creating a world where everyone gets to work toward their idea of their optimum selves. Now we continue to grow and move on to, even more, partnering in a movement toward acceptance and appreciation for who we are! We are thrilled to be a part of creating communities that truly appreciate the unique aspects of all people and embrace the unique talents and gifts of those with ASD. We encourage you to partner with us in this movement!
Here’s a look back at highlights of Autism Awareness month here at The Arc of Delaware County. We hope you enjoy and as always, connect with us, get to know us, become a supporting member, a volunteer or join our team as an employee. We would love to get to know you better.
