Studio 190 is a collaborative art studio equipping artists of all abilities with the necessary tools, education, and representation to realize their full artistic potential.
Last month Studio 190 was honored to receive a New York State Decentralization Grant, administered by the Roxbury Arts Group. “The Decentralization Grant Program (DEC), a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, in Delaware County. DEC funds are used to support projects in three areas: Community Arts, Arts Education, and Individual Artist.” The allocation of these funds will have two specific purposes, preparing artwork for display at exhibitions throughout Delaware County and for the development, printing, and distribution of a biographical book highlighting our artists and their work. This is a very exciting opportunity that will serve to bring further awareness to the positive effect art is having on all those who are participating in the studio.
Great things are happening! Stay tuned for specific details as all these intentions become reality!
In other big news, Studio 190 has begun prototyping its signature flower! The flower embodies the studio’s philosophy in every way; it is a collaborative effort, it highlights the creative strengths of each artist, it utilizes recycled materials, and it is beautiful! Great things are happening here at Studio 190! Stay tuned for details and upcoming events and always, we welcome you to be a part of our efforts through materials donations and volunteering!
