The month of June has been a very busy and exciting month as we continue to make great progress on numerous fronts. We have some ambitious goals set before us amidst this time of transition and we are seeing the artist embracing these changes with enthusiasm and ease!
We completed our trout for, “Something Fishy”, an outdoor exhibit displayed along Bridge Street and Main in Margaretville, N.Y. Our fish is located at the intersection of Rt. 28 and Bridge St. (on the south side of the intersection). Be sure to check it out if you are in the area.
Three of our art pieces have been selected for the Voice, an art exhibit created by and hosted by the Arc of Otsego County. Our pieces will be on display at the SUNY Oneonta Martin-Mullen Art Gallery from July 27th until August 10th. The opening reception is on July 27th from 5 – 7 p.m.
Studio 190 has the pleasure of hosting Alan Powell over the next few weeks. Alan is a visual artist with more than 30 years of experience in art, media, and nonprofits. The Decentralization Grant that we received in April provides the studio with Alan’s services, which include photography, professional quality prints, the professional finishing of artwork such as framing and mounting, the creation of a photo book, and much more. This is such an amazing opportunity for the studio, with benefits reaching far into the future!
Flower production is front and center for us right now. We will have the specifics for you very soon, i.e. available sizes, prices, where to buy them, etc. So many exciting things happening. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for a closer look!
