The 2018 quilt made by Ruth Wilhowsky.

We’ve come a long way in 51 years at The Arc of Delaware County, and our members have been paramount to our success!

In the very first days, our founding members gathered to advocate for friends and loved ones.  These brave, tenacious pioneers began to lay the foundation for all citizens to live happy, full, productive lives. They noticed early on they needed help so they reached out to the community and help they sure did find! Then, just as today, we couldn’t do it without your support and for that we say thank you!

Today, children of all abilities are learning and playing together in our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) aligned preschool program; a young woman’s confidence flourishes as she embraces independence moving from her parents’ home to her own apartment in a warm and welcoming neighborhood; and a gentleman who secretly dreamed of being recognized as an artist is showing his artwork in local galleries and is beaming with pride and a sense of self-worth as he generates income from his art.

We celebrate that together we have created this harmonious, inclusive community, decorated with the beauty of unique talents and contributions from each of us.  As a Member, you have a direct and positive impact on our mission of helping people live personally fulfilling lives. Your membership establishes a connection to the community, opens doors to opportunities, and ensures a powerful voice when advocating on behalf of staff and people we support on a local, state and federal level.  Your Membership matters.

Your paid Membership to The Arc of Delaware County also enrolls you as a member of The Arc at the state and national levels.  To become a member just click the membership button at the top of the page. Encourage your family and friends to join!

In addition to your membership dues, please consider including a donation to support our mission, and/or purchase tickets for our 2018 quilt raffle. I’ve placed a picture of this years quilt at the top of the page, held by Alethea and Monte.  The beautiful queen size quilt was lovingly created and generously donated by Member, Ruth Wilhowski. The “Ohio Star” quilt measures 92″ x 104″ and has a retail value of $450.00. Click the quilt raffle button at the top of the page to purchase tickets.

Take a moment and watch this message from our founding mother, Luella Rogers. Luella recorded her message several years ago and it holds as much inspiration now as it did then. It reminds us just what a courageous and tenacious group of pioneers these founding family members and loved ones were. While Luella has passed on, her legacy lives in the success of The Arc of Delaware County where we continue with the same motivated tenacity to grow, supporting people to new heights, accomplishments, dreams and goals truly demonstrating that we are all  one and that every life can be a fullfilled life well lived!

Join us in our mission today and be a part of this incredible movement!
