Life at Delarc is always exciting, always busy, and always focused on the Unifying Principles, our core values. Life at Delarc is not, however, always easy. Currently, we are facing a staffing crisis and it is a monumental challenge. We are spending a great deal of time and energy recruiting staff and there are far fewer applications than ever before.
There are help-wanted signs in businesses all around us and we are in the midst of a national direct support shortage that has reached a critical level. Delarc has not escaped this reality. We truly are in this together and are advocating strongly for a solution to the national crisis. At the same time, we are creatively working to solve our own staffing shortage.
We are excited to be holding 4 onsite job fairs in the month of July! We will be doing on-the-spot interviews and hope for a great turnout. We are also excited about our new, FwdBound Paid Internship program for young adults aged 15 – 17. This program is a great way to begin preparing for a career in human services while earning money. With a renewed and energized recruitment campaign, our staffing crisis is a top priority. We set our mission up for continued success throughout stressful, challenging times by growing our strong collaborative team.
