The Arc of Delaware County’s 5th Annual Halloween Hootenanny was a frightfully fun afternoon filled with laughter, creativity, and community spirit! Over 300 families, friends, and neighbors came together for a celebration that truly captured the magic of Halloween and the joy of inclusion.
Trunk-or-Treat, Games, and Ghoulish Fun
The event featured a lively Trunk-or-Treat where staff and volunteers transformed their vehicles into imaginative themed displays. From Hungry Hungry Hippo to a ghostly haunt, a jungle adventure, Candy Land, Beach Party, and several other creative setups, each trunk brought its own unique twist to the Halloween fun.
Guests also enjoyed a variety of games and activities, along with the always-popular Bounce House, Fun Bus Bay, and Haunted Bus Bay experiences! Laughter echoed across the lot as families joined in the Halloween spirit together.

Celebrating Creativity, Teamwork, and Inclusion
The Hootenanny wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our staff, FwdBound Interns, and volunteers who helped decorate, run games, and make sure everything ran smoothly. Every pumpkin bucket, spooky decoration, and smiling face helped make this event a true celebration of creativity, inclusion, and teamwork.

A Message from Our CEO
Reflecting on the event, CEO Molly Little shared a touching story that beautifully captured the heart of what The Arc of Delaware County stands for:
“One of the first kiddos I saw today was on cloud nine and his mom said, ‘This is our third year here. He loves this event so much! Every time we drive by this place year-round he says, “Oh Mom! There’s the place with the happy people who love Halloween as much as we do.”’
She then told me, ‘Once he’s older, I’m going to tell him how Delarc doesn’t love Halloween. They love humanity. That’s what he’s feeling.’
I thought it was the highest compliment we could ever receive. I’m both grateful for and proud of this team. Thank you for such a fantastic community event.”
Until Next Year!
As the sun set on another amazing Halloween Hootenanny, we’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration! Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s event one to remember. Your energy, enthusiasm, and dedication keep this annual tradition growing stronger each year.
