The Voice! 21 art show has once again brought together creativity, expression, and community in a powerful way. Organized by our sister chapter, The Arc of Otsego, this year’s event celebrates the talents of artists supported by chapters of The Arc NY, including our own here at The Arc of Delaware County.
Hosted at the Martin-Mullen Gallery at SUNY Oneonta, the exhibit features a vibrant collection of artwork, ranging from bold paintings and mixed media pieces to collaborative installations. Each piece tells a story, and together, they represent a powerful celebration of individuality, inclusion, and artistic voice.
We’re thrilled to share this year’s award winners from Delaware County:
🎨 2nd Place Award – Denise Darling with Tree of Life
🌟 Spirit Award – Krystina Volpe
🏆 People’s Choice Award – (a tie):
-
-
Tree of Life by Denise Darling
-
In The Garden by Rita Altobello, Melissa Finch, Marlana Volpe, and Jaime Mostert (a collaborative piece)
-
We are incredibly proud of all the artists who contributed their creativity and courage to this show. Their work continues to inspire and remind us of the importance of expression, accessibility, and community in the arts.
The Voice! opens with an artist’s reception, voting and award ceremony and then remains open for two weeks for public viewing at the Martin-Mullen Gallery in the Fine Arts Building at SUNY Oneonta. The Voice! is an annual exhibit. If you missed it this year (it closed on July 25th), be sure to watch our newsletter for the announcement of next year’s The Voice! 22nd!
