Celebrating Progress and Partnership at Our 2025 Annual Membership Meeting & Awards Ceremony

On Saturday, June 21st, The Arc of Delaware County held its Annual Membership Meeting & Awards Ceremony at the scenic campus of SUNY Delhi. This cherished tradition brought together members, staff, and community partners to reflect on our accomplishments, conduct essential business, and celebrate the individuals and organizations who make our mission thrive.

The morning began with our official annual membership meeting, where the agenda included the approval of the 2024 meeting minutes, a treasurer’s report, and updates from our board president. We also welcomed new officers during the election and installation portion of the meeting, reaffirming our shared commitment to strong leadership and continued progress.

Officers for the 2025-2026 Term include:

  • President – Lori Cetta
  • Vice President – James Warren
  • Secretary – Bonnie Martin
  • Treasurer – Nat Thomas

Following the formal meeting, attendees enjoyed a delicious brunch before gathering once more for the heart of the day—the Awards Ceremony.

We proudly honored this year’s Outstanding Achievement Award recipients, recognizing individuals across our programs who have demonstrated resilience, growth, and dedication:

  • Carousel Children’s Services – Brantley Burgin

  • Community Living Skills, Arkville – Tim Finch

  • Community Living Skills, Walton (Philip Hale Award) – John Lescene

  • Community Networks – James Koji

  • Residential Services – Walter Jamie Menhinick

  • Studio190 – Arthur Lewis

  • THRIVE – John Higgins

Next, we turned our attention to our Community Awards, which recognize outstanding service, advocacy, and partnership within our broader community:

  • Dr. Gerald Burday Professional Excellence Award – Kyra Shew

  • Father Eugene Willis Good Neighbor Award – Andrew & Ruthanne VanBuren

  • Luella Rogers Exemplary Volunteer Award – Bonnie Martin

  • Partner of the Year Award – True North Ranch

Lastly, 39 Delarc staff who achieved NADSP E-Badge Accreditations in 2024 were also recognized for their accomplishments.

Each honoree was celebrated not only for their individual achievements, but also for the positive impact they have had on others and the community as a whole.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the award winners and our gratitude to everyone who joined us for this special event. Together, we continue to build a more inclusive, supportive, and empowered future for all.
