Creativity and self-expression were on full display at THRIVE as 10 individuals participated in a hands-on upcycled can project led by special guest instructor, Jessica Baldi of The Funky Farmhouse.
Using recycled cans as their canvas, participants transformed everyday items into beautiful decorative pieces. Each person had the opportunity to make their project uniquely their own by selecting prints and inspirational sayings before using Mod Podge to bring their designs to life. To complete their creations, decorative knobs were added to the lids, along with feet on the bottom of each can, turning them into charming keepsake containers.
Throughout the project, Jessica guided participants through each step of the process, offering encouragement, support, and plenty of creative inspiration. Her enthusiasm helped everyone feel confident as they explored new techniques and expressed their personal style.
The project was more than just a craft. It was an opportunity for creativity, choice, and accomplishment. Each finished piece reflected its creator’s individuality while demonstrating how everyday objects can be transformed into something both beautiful and functional.
