At Delarc, we believe every celebration is an opportunity to bring people together, and this year’s celebration of America’s 250th Independence Day was no exception. Throughout the week, our programs and offices were filled with patriotic spirit, creativity, and plenty of smiles as staff and people we support came together to commemorate this historic milestone.
The festivities kicked off with everyone showing their patriotic pride by wearing red, white, and blue throughout the week. From stars and stripes to festive accessories, everyone embraced the celebration, making every day a colorful reminder of the values of community, freedom, and belonging.
Programs also got creative with patriotic door decorating, transforming hallways into vibrant displays celebrating America’s birthday. Each door reflected the imagination, teamwork, and artistic talents of the individuals who designed them, making every location feel festive and welcoming.
The celebration continued with an ice cream social that brought people together to enjoy a sweet treat, laughter, and good company. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, connect, and celebrate the friendships that make Delarc such a special place.
One of the highlights of the week was our “What Freedom Means to Me” Art Contest. We received 27 incredible submissions featuring paintings, drawings, photography, poetry, woodworking, and other creative expressions. Each piece offered a unique perspective on what freedom means, showcasing the remarkable talents and voices of the individuals we support and staff.
