Delarc Celebrates Excellence at Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Ceremony

On Saturday, June 13, members, families, self-advocates, staff, community supporters, and elected officials gathered at SUNY Delhi for Delarc’s Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Ceremony.

Guests were welcomed with light refreshments and the opportunity to connect, mingle, and celebrate another successful year of advocacy, service, and achievement. Award recipients were honored with boutonnieres and corsages as attendees enjoyed time together before the meeting began.

The morning opened with a few words from our special guest, Senator Peter Oberacker, then the swearing-in of Delarc’s newly elected officers and Board of Directors by Self-Advocate Erin Balcom and Town of Hamden Supervisor, Wayne Marshfield.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, attendees enjoyed a delicious brunch and time to connect with one another before gathering for the annual awards presentation. The ceremony celebrated the accomplishments, dedication, and contributions of the individuals we support, employees, and community partners who help make Delarc a stronger organization and community.
