At The Arc of Delaware County, we’re proud to celebrate an exciting milestone for four FwdBound interns who graduated from high school this year and have now moved into our FwdBound College+ Edition internship program.
The FwdBound program helps students gain real-world work experience, build confidence, and explore future career opportunities in a supportive and inclusive environment. After successfully completing the High School Edition, these graduates are continuing their journey through the College Edition, where they will further develop their skills and take on new opportunities for growth.
Their transition is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to achieving their goals.
“We are incredibly proud of these students and all they have accomplished,” said Catherine Tweedie, Director of Community Relations. “Moving from our High School Edition to our College Edition internship is an exciting next step, and we look forward to seeing all they achieve in the future.”
Recently, all FwdBound interns, both High School and College+ participants, came together for a collaborative workshop, creating an opportunity for students at different stages of the program to connect, learn from one another, and build relationships. The workshop was co-facilitated by CEO Molly Little and a recent FwdBound intern, Meyer Little, who successfully transitioned into a substitute role with The Arc of Delaware County. By bringing everyone together, the event highlighted the many pathways available through FwdBound and inspired students as they continue working toward their educational and career goals.
