Delarc is proud to celebrate a significant achievement by Studio 190 Director Vincent “Vinny” Heller, who recently graduated from The Arc New York Leadership Institute after completing the intensive 10-month leadership development program.
The Leadership Institute was created by The Arc New York to cultivate the next generation of organizational leaders by providing participants with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to pursue executive leadership roles within the organization. The program helps prepare future leaders for positions such as CEO, CFO, CSO, and other senior leadership roles, reinforcing The Arc New York’s commitment to growing talent from within.
Vinny joins an impressive group of graduates as a member of the program’s third cohort. Delarc’s CEO Molly Little proudly participated in the inaugural class when the Leadership Institute was first established, making Vinny’s graduation another meaningful milestone for our organization. Who will Delarc send next?
For the past 10 months, Vinny has balanced an incredibly demanding schedule while participating in the program. In addition to serving as Director of Studio 190, he supports leadership efforts at CLS-Arkville, works part-time as a Manager at Walmart, and continues pursuing his bachelor’s degree. Despite these responsibilities, he remained committed to expanding his leadership skills and embracing every opportunity the program offered.
The Leadership Institute experience included working closely with a mentor, visiting sister agencies, networking with peers from across New York State, and exploring innovative leadership practices. The day before graduation, friends and colleagues surprised Vinny with a send-off celebration, including a decorated vehicle to transport him to New York City in style for the commencement celebration.

Reflecting on his experience, Vinny shared:
“Attending the Leadership Institute challenged me to think differently about leadership and helped me grow both personally and professionally. The program provided practical tools and valuable perspectives on lean practices, innovation, agile leadership, and data-informed decision-making. Visiting local social enterprises made the experience especially impactful, showing how these principles can drive meaningful change. The connections built with other leaders in the program added another meaningful dimension to the experience, creating opportunities for collaboration, shared learning, and lasting relationships. I left with new perspectives, meaningful connections, and practical strategies that will continue to shape my approach to leadership.”
Vinny’s dedication, work ethic, and passion for serving others embody the values of Delarc and The Arc New York. We are excited to see how the knowledge and experiences gained through the Leadership Institute will continue to strengthen Delarc, benefit those we support, and contribute to the future of our organization.
Congratulations, Vinny, on this well-deserved accomplishment!
