2024 Staff Retreat
Each year, Delarc staff gather for an annual staff retreat. This year the retreat was held at SUNY Delhi. At the retreat, staff enjoyed team building activities and an inspirational speaker. We welcomed new staff, celebrated promotions, and introduced our new agency mascot.
Guest Speaker
Delarc staff gathered in the theatre and welcomed our guest speaker, Dr. Birchak, aka Dr. Bird. Dr. Bird’s message on happiness was fitting for this year’s staff retreat theme “Come on get happy!” He shared the importance of thinking positively and believing in yourself. Dr. Bird’s keynote presentation was a highlight of the day, and he received a standing ovation.
Teambuilding
Following our guest speaker, the Delarc’s Communication Committee lead a team building activity which consisted of a scavenger hunt. There were ten groups who competed for a prize and bragging rights.
Recreation Time
After lunch, staff had the opportunity to enjoy some recreation time, with several different activities to choose from: DIY Cookie Decorating from Twisted Catskills Confections; fly fishing workshop with Mr. Baker; learn the art of couponing with Katie Hodges; or watch the movie “Wildflower” in the theatre.
