Celebrating The Arc NY’s 75th Anniversary with Community Service Projects

75th Anniversary
The Arc of New York celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and Arc Chapters across NYS joined together the week of June 2nd to perform 75 acts of service. Each chapter chose two community service projects as a form of celebration. Delarc was honored to give back to our community in this way with the community service projects below:

Delaware County Fairgrounds Beautification
On Monday, June 3rd, we spent the day at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. Everyone was busy sweeping, weeding and planting a flower garden bed, painting, picking up trash, and more. We always look forward to attending the fair in August and are proud to have had a small part in preparing the grounds for opening day! Kids Sizzlin’ Summer Fun Day
Saturday, June 8th, we hosted a Kids Sizzlin’ Summer Fun Day as the second community service project. There were games, face painting, bounce house, rock painting, sidewalk chalk art, photobooth and more. This free event was open to our community and went over so well it might just end up being an annual event! Click through the photos below to view the day of fun:
