Earlier this year, members of the Walton First Baptist Church (WFBC) reached out to Delarc to present the idea of co-hosting a community Spring Fling. We were delighted to join forces. After months of planning, on a beautiful spring day in May, the day finally arrived. Here’s a glimpse into the day’s activities:
As you walked into the atrium, Studio 190 had set up a few tables of original artwork for sale. Paintings, bags, jewelry and signature Unity Blooms were created by the talented Studio 190 artists. Past the art sale, was the very popular face painting area. On the other side of the face painting area, through the double doors, leading outside, were a few different outdoor games set-up, giving people the chance to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and a game of cornhole.
In the hallway, passed the atrium, a few tables were set up for anyone who were feeling crafty. Studio 190 provided the materials and tools for anyone who wanted to create their own unity bloom. On the opposite wall was another craft table set up with paper, markers and stickers.
In the kitchen area, the light refreshments were set up for everyone’s enjoyment. The beautifully decorated and delicious pudding cups of various flavors received rave reviews.
The gym area was where people had the chance to shake their tail feathers or hang out with friends. As people danced, a few people braved the crowd and had the chance to sing a song of their choice. It was a fun filled day.
This day would never have been possible without all the wonderful volunteers, so thank you all for your donation of time and talents to this fun community event.
