DSP Appreciation Week

Delarc was honored to participate in National Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Appreciation Week recently. Every year the second week of September, DSPs nationwide are the focus of this week-long celebration. At Delarc, our DSPs work tirelessly to fulfill our mission, ensuring people we support live personally fulfilling lives. While DSP’s are at the heart of this weeklong celebration, Delarc recognizes it takes an entire team of staff to ensure the success of our mission, so we didn’t let this opportunity pass by to say thank you to our entire team. This week we celebrated DSPs and all staff by showering them with daily gifts of appreciation.

The week kicked off on Sunday with an email from our CEO, Molly Little, announcing a generous and well-deserved raise.

Day 2, Monday, staff received a thoughtful notepad with a pen that states “May you be proud of the work you, do the person you are, and the difference you make.

Day 3, Tuesday, staff was gifted with a funny and adorable Emotional Support Pickle, along with a scratch off ticket.

Day 4, Wednesday, staff received a $25 gas card thanking the team for fueling our mission.

Day 5, Thursday, staff received a $25 gift card to Price Chopper, reminding the team that they are Priceless!

Day 6, Friday, time off certificate reminding our crew the importance to take time for yourself, along with the message “You will be receiving a Time-Off Certificate to be used for anything that brings you JOY, that will bring you REST, that will make your heart SING And will FEED your SOUL. Enjoy this time knowing that you are deeply appreciated each and every single day for ALL you do to ensure that all the people we support are living their most personally meaningful and fulfilling life.”

Daily drawings for gift certificates were also held just for DSP’s to add to the fun for the week.
