4th Quarter/Holiday Meeting
It is always a great time when the Delarc crew gets together. Our 4th quarter/holiday meeting was held at our Hamden location Friday, December 22, 2023. Gathering together allows us to celebrate our accomplishments, work on team building/communication exercises, and so much more.
We welcomed our new employees!
From last quarter to this quarter, Delarc welcomed 15 new employees! Wow! We are so excited to have new staff to our team. That is 15 new staff who have the same mission in mind, “Supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live personally fulfilling lives.” Welcome to the team
We celebrated our promotions!
Delarc loves promoting excellent employees. Congratulations Rachel Doughtery on your promotion to Life Coach 10! And Congratulations to Jordan Bivens for your promotion to Life Coach 5! We appreciate your hard work and dedication!
We cheered for our “S’happenin” Award winners!
The “S’happenin” Awards is a new award that was implemented during this fourth quarter meeting. The “S’happenin” Award is presented to employees who stand out for fully embracing the Shift Happens approach and all of its principles. Congratulations to Sarah Goodson and Katie Backus on receiving the first “S’happenin” Awards of 2024!
Handed out gifts for our milestone anniversaries (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 & 30 years at Delarc!)
Milestone anniversaries recipients presented with a pen engraved with their name and how many years they had been working at Delarc, along with a financial “thank you” and a personalized notebook that was created using adjustives and phrases their peers used to describe them.
The votes were in, and there were five winners of the Ugly Sweater Contest!
As the Delarc crew arrived at our Hamden location, they were given a few items. In the items was an “Ugly Sweater Contest Voting Card” along with two stickers. During the meeting, we were asked to place our stickers on the voting cards of who we thought had the best “ugly sweater”. The top five winners received a certificate along with a scratch off. Thank you to everyone who participated, there were so many great “ugly” sweaters.
